Former satanic cult member Daley Vargas shares her near-death experience in which she was tormented in hell and saved by Jesus Christ (vegetarian)
Daley grew up in a broken family with satanists, Catholics, agnostics, and atheists, suffering years of abuse. A Catholic priest also severely abused her, which fueled her anger toward God.
Daley experienced supernatural events as a child. Once, trapped in a hole during abuse, she prayed for God’s angels to rescue her, and was unexpectedly freed unharmed. At nine, she was kidnapped with another girl. The girl prayed fervently before they were separated; Daley was returned to her town, but the other girl vanished forever. Later, after attempting suicide from a 14-foot [4.2-meter] bridge, a clear voice said “no,” and her hoodie snagged on a branch, saving her life. The voice guided her to safety, leaving Daley to ponder if God cared for her despite her anger.
As a teen, Daley fell into a satanic cult. She once witnessed a supposed “healing” that felt wrong, and later saw a cult member intentionally kill a young man with autism who had overheard something, convincing her of the cult’s deadly power. Daley turned to drug dealing for a sense of control but was consumed by guilt and despair.
At sixteen, after reluctantly using drugs with her cousin, she felt her heart failing. Staggering home, she collapsed in bed— and everything went black.
Daley awoke in a radiant entryway of indescribable beauty with shining tiles, sweet air, and enormous staircases. At a distance she saw a majestic figure in a glowing robe with white hair, His face covered by a radiant Light, whom she knew as God. Overwhelmed, she wanted to kneel there forever. Urged to climb the stairs, she stumbled in awe until she reached the top, where she met Lord Jesus.
She knew Him by his robe, beard, and eyes, which contained every human color— showing each person carries a piece of Him. Lord Jesus confronted Daley’s bitterness and unforgiveness, revealing how her choices were rooted in anger and fear, especially her decision to follow satan out of spite.
Then a door opened onto a black abyss. Lord Jesus, weeping, showed her the path of her choices: rejection of Him meant descent into darkness. Daley begged to reverse her decision. He kissed her cheek but, heartbroken, closed the door, saying her rejection was too painful.
At once a handsome man in a suit appeared— lucifer, radiating deceit. He led her into a cave thick with the stench of sulfur and blood. Grotesque creatures with twisted limbs and clawed hands tore at her as she descended through levels of hell. She saw a man engulfed in flames, screaming as he worked endlessly, and a vast crater glowing with molten fire, where millions of zombie-like people hurled themselves in only to burn, reemerge, and leap again. Satan gloated, boasting that he grew stronger from suffering and that there was no escape.
Hundreds of thousands of demons jeered in mocking laughter, and Daley collapsed in terror. For the first time, she cried out sincerely: “Jesus, help me.” Instantly a massive hand, vast as a skyscraper, broke through the darkness, scattered the creatures, and lifted her to safety.
Daley awoke in bed and saw Lord Jesus standing before her. He first spoke in what sounded like a biblical language, and she repeated the words automatically. Then he said in English: “Repent, follow me. I love you. Tell your friends.” He kissed her cheek and vanished.
After this, Daley began carrying a Bible, surprising those in her community. At a Pregnancy Crisis Center, a woman named Flo— who knew Greek, Hebrew, and Arabic—translated Lord Jesus’s earlier words as: “Follow me, repent, I will forgive you. I love you. Have peace (Shalom)” Later, Daley met a handicapped girl named Shalom, who often would suddenly say, “Jesus loves you!”— a confirmation of Daley’s experience.
Years afterward in Louisiana [US], Daley faced another false group disguised as Christians but tied to satanism. Her faith was tested, yet she clung to Lord Jesus’ love and sacrifice, which healed her hatred and gave her power to forgive. Today, Daley dedicates her life to sharing her testimony— that even from the fires of hell, Lord Jesus’s love can redeem and save (Randy Kay)
Self-realizing quote of the day: “What is meditation? Becoming one with the soul. It means banishing the consciousness of being related to the body and to human limitations, and trying to remember that one is a soul. Meditation brings proof of the existence of God.” — The Venerated Enlightened Master Paramahansa Yogananda (vegetarian)
